Corporate Recovery and Reconstruction

An initial Corporate Recovery and Reconstruction report that will:

• Summarise the current situation
• Analyse what appears to have gone wrong and why (internal and external factors)
• Identify areas of the business that still have value or potential
• Assess the external industrial, market and competitive environment and identify current or new markets/ applications for these assets
• Identify outline options for realising that value.

Company data that can be analysed includes: accounts, assets, strategy, brands, products and services, R&D and IP, licensed technologies or processes, markets and channels, customers and goodwill, people, management, processes, and systems.

Company information is assessed with reference to what the company was trying to achieve, competitor performance, and the requirements of the marketplace. This will help determine whether the problem was caused by strategy, implementation, competition, or resources. This will lead to an analysis of the current company assets and where they may hold future commercial value. This analysis will identify any:

• Value in IP, R&D, and proprietary processes, systems, or technologies
• Opportunities to extend, reposition or re-engineer existing products
• Opportunities to improve or restructure operational systems and supply chains
• Market conditions for growth, consolidation, diversification or exit.

Our analysis will then identify and evidence options for realising that value in terms of restructuring, sale (in part or whole), repositioning, diversification etc., based upon our assessment of market conditions and the ability of the company (or its parts) to compete.
